Optimization of Antireflection Coating Design Using PC1D Simulation for c ? Si Solar Cell Application

Minimizing the photon losses by depositing an anti-reflection layer can increase conversion efficiency of solar cells. In this paper, impact coating (ARC) for enhancing silicon cells is presented. Initially, refractive indices and reflectance various ARC materials were computed numerically using OPAL2 calculator. After which, SiO2,TiO2,SiNx with different (n) used analyzing performance a coated these PC1D simulator. SiNx TiO2 as single-layer (SLARC) yielded short circuit current density (Jsc) 38.4 mA/cm2 38.09mA/cm2 respectively. Highest 20.7% was obtained n=2.15. With Double-layer (DLARC), Jsc improved ?0.5 SiO2/SiNx hence 0.3%. Blue loss reduces significantly DLARC compared SLARC in 1 observed. The values good agreement layers. cell from study showed that 21.1% obtained. Finally, it essential to understand key parameters identified simulation concerning fabrication will make experimental validation faster cheaper.
